When my husband and I started looking into IVF, the cost in the U.S. was simply overwhelming. We began exploring options abroad, but finding a trustworthy clinic in Korea felt almost impossible—especially since I don’t speak Korean and Korea isn’t exactly Google-friendly. I was scared and overwhelmed, not knowing where to start or who to trust. Then I stumbled upon Hellyn’s video on YouTube, where she shared her IVF journey and mentioned a group called Bloom Korea, created by three friends who have all walked the same difficult fertility path. I applied and had my first call with them—and that was the moment everything changed. I felt reassured, informed, and finally not alone in this. Their website is beautifully designed and full of helpful information, but Bloom Korea offers so much more than just finding a clinic. They help you secure comfortable housing (with discounts for really nice apartments!), and they’re always there to answer questions—big or small. It honestly feels like having a best friend who’s been through it all and is ready to help you every step of the way. I’m now in my second retrieval here in Seoul, and I love my doctor. I even had the chance to meet Christi in person—she’s even more kind and lovely than she was over our video calls. These women are doing something truly special for us foreigners navigating fertility treatments abroad, and I’m incredibly grateful. Bloom Korea also supports those looking into egg freezing, and the best part? Their services are completely free. I still can’t believe it. If you’re feeling lost and unsure where to start your fertility journey in Korea, let this be your sign. Bloom Korea is the support system you didn’t know you needed. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

After following Hellyn on Instragram and Youtube for the last couple of years (she's very inspiring!) and thinking about exploring IVF in Korea for a while (I had already done a consult with an IVF clinic in Korea on my own), I reached out to BloomKorea to get a better idea of the costs, timeline, and process of undergoing IVF in Korea and I couldn't have been more impressed! Both Isabelle and Hellyn are kind, generous with their time, and very knowledgeable. Setting up a consultation with Cha Fertility through them was so easy and I was so impressed by how thoroughly the doctor at Cha had reviewed my medical records and how much time he was willing to spend with me to answer all of my questions. I also couldn't believe that Hellyn actually joined the call to help facilitate the consult in case there were any language barriers (there were not b/c the doctor's english was great!). She really went above and beyond-- even asking the doctor questions that I hadn't thought to ask about my case. Though BloomKorea is currently partnered with only 2 clinics, they are partnered with the two biggest / most famous ones and honestly, it was clear that they offer a lot more than just streamlining the IVF process in Korea. I'm confident that if I go to korea for IVF, I'll be able to turn to BloomKorea for support throughout the entire process.

I first discovered Bloom Korea through Hellynn’s YouTube videos on medical tourism. At the time, I was in the U.S., researching IVF options in Korea but feeling completely lost. Trying to figure out clinics, costs, and long-term housing from abroad was overwhelming, and there wasn’t much clear information on the best options. I actually found Bloom Korea just a week before flying out to Korea—super last-minute—but Hellynn and her team went above and beyond to accommodate me and expedite the process. They managed to book consultations with multiple clinics so I could meet different doctors before making a decision, and they even helped me secure affordable long-term housing. Throughout my IVF journey, Hellynn continued to check in, offer advice, and provide emotional support, which made such a difference on the harder days. Any time I had questions—whether about IVF or medical tourism in general—Bloom Korea was incredibly responsive and supportive. I honestly can’t imagine going through this process without them. They took something incredibly stressful and made it manageable, and for that, I’m beyond grateful.

We first came across Bloom through one of Hellynn's YouTube videos when we first started considering IVF options in Korea. It was such a blessing because we were having trouble getting in touch directly with clinics to not only pick the right place for us but also to plan our travels/schedules. IVF is stressful enough but Bloom took a huge weight off our shoulders in getting information and even setting us up with a direct call with our doctor to be! This gave us so much peace and clarity about moving forward. I'm two months in to IVF in Korea and thankful for the connections provided by Bloom. The IVF opportunity here has given us more clarity and also hope about our situation. I highly recommend for anyone considering Korea for IVF!

Bloom came into our lives when we had exhausted our options in the U.S. and were considering going to Korea due to the high cost of IVF treatment. Infertility is an emotionally and mentally challenging journey, but from the moment we reached out for a consultation, we were met with empathy and reassured that we would be well taken care of. The women in this group have all walked a similar path and truly understand the difficulties involved. They are incredibly practical, meeting you exactly where you are—whether it's choosing the right hospital, finding the right doctor, or figuring out where to live. They make the entire process feel manageable, and with their guidance, even the idea of relocating for several months becomes far less daunting. I am forever grateful for Bloom & highly recommend them for anyone who is looking to come to Korea for treatment.

I had heard incredible things about fertility preservation in Korea but no one in my sphere had actually experienced it - it was just hearsay. Enter Bloom Korea. They were like the older sister I needed, sharing information and advice to make informed decisions. In addition to information about hospitals, they also offered tips and referrals for housing / living in Korea. If you're curious about egg / embryo freezing or IVF in Korea I highly recommend reaching out to them.

Bloom Korea has been instrumental in my and my husband's IVF journey. Without getting into the details, I initially came across Bloom from their Facebook Group which also led me to Hellynn's YouTube and opened us to the idea of doing IVF in Korea. I wasn't sure how possible it would be but it was more than possible. I'm in Korea now and just started my first cycle! Bloom made it so easy and supported me throughout the process until I was connected to a hospital (Cha Clinic). Christi from Bloom was my main contact and she was always patient, caring, supportive, and responsive to all the questions that I had. She was extremely detailed and ensured that I was aware of the expectations and even sat in with me on my initial online video consultation with the doctor and clinic. She and the team at Bloom made sure I had everything I needed to embark on this journey in Korea and although it's early, I feel blessed to have connected with Bloom and Cha Clinic. The rest is in God's hands and we'll see what happens but I cannot say enough how much Bloom is amazing!! Anyone who is thinking of IVF and considering going abroad, look no further! Bloom is your ultimate friend and guide! Honestly, thank you so much Bloom!!

During my visit in Korea, I used Bloom Korea to connect with one of the top women's hospitals for fertility checkups. Their team was incredibly friendly and guided me through the entire process, ensuring I received excellent care from the hospital. I highly recommend this agency to anyone seeking quality medical care in South Korea.

Best IVF & egg freezing clinics in Korea

If you’re Korean, you probably already know the names CHA Fertility Center and Maria Fertility Hospital. They’re everywhere: your aunt mentions them, your OB trained there, and community groups have strong opinions about which one is best. But if you’re not Korean, comparing your options can be confusing.

FAQs

Not sure where to start? Here’s what helped us.

How much does egg freezing cost?

For egg freezing, most international patients pay around $4,000–$6,000 USD per cycle, including retrieval, medication, and storage.  If you want a detailed breakdown by clinic, take our quick quiz – we’ll send the full guide to your inbox instantly.

Not at all. You’ll pay the same price as going direct. We do receive a commission from the hospital (just being transparent!), but it doesn’t cost you anything extra.  With Bloom, you also get a team who advocates for you, plus access to a community of women who’ve been where you are. Think of us as a sister from another belly, here to guide and support you before a big commitment.

Nope. Our partner hospitals offer on-site translation, and we can guide you to doctors who speak English.  If you’re feeling unsure, we can set up an online consultation with your doctor in advance, so you can get a feel for them before making the trip.

It starts with a blood test and ultrasound to check your hormone levels and count the number of follicles in your ovaries. From there, you’ll begin daily hormone injections to help those follicles grow. This stimulation phase lasts about 10–14 days, with monitoring visits every few days to track progress and adjust medications as needed. Once your follicles are ready, your doctor will schedule the egg retrieval, a procedure done under light sedation. Most people rest for a day or two afterward, then either head home or take some time to explore. Your eggs will be safely frozen and stored for whenever you’re ready to use them.  We recommend budgeting at least 3-4 weeks to be safe, as timing really depends on when your period starts, how your ovaries respond to the medication and when your follicles are ready for retrieval.

Age is one of the most important factors affecting egg quantity and quality, so this is generally a conversation worth having sooner rather than later. But there is no single right age for everyone. Your ovarian reserve, health, plans and personal circumstances all matter. A fertility assessment can help you understand your individual starting point. If you don’t have one, checkout how you can order fertility labs from us.

Plan to spend about 3-4 weeks in Korea for one full cycle. Treatment typically starts on Day 2 of your period and includes about 10–14 days of medication, followed by your retrieval and a short recovery.  Having said this, timing really depends on how well your body (ovaries) respond to the meds and how well the lead follicles grow.

Yes,  you’ll need a few key things to make sure your clinic in Korea can move forward smoothly:

  • Proof of single status: The clinics we work with generally ask single patients to provide a document confirming that they are not married. Depending on your country, this may be called an affidavit of single status, single-status certificate or certificate of no impediment. Contact your local government office to request it. The process can take three to four weeks, so we recommend starting early. Clinics generally ask for a document issued within the previous 12 months, although the exact cutoff can vary.

  • Your Passport: Bring it with you to every clinic appointment.

  • Any relevant medical records: Recent blood work, hormone tests (like AMH or FSH), or prior fertility records can help your Korean doctor understand your baseline faster.

If you’re not sure what counts, just ask. We’ll help you prepare.

How much does IVF cost?

Most international patients pay approximately $7,000–$10,000 USD for one IVF cycle in Korea, including medication, egg retrieval, fertilization and embryo transfer. The final amount depends on your protocol, medication needs, testing and whether you have a fresh or frozen transfer. There is no single right age to begin IVF, but age can significantly affect egg quantity, egg quality and the likelihood of success. Your fertility history, ovarian reserve, health and family-building plans also matter. The most useful next step is a fertility assessment and a conversation with a doctor about your individual circumstances.

Plan to spend about 3-4 weeks for one full cycle with fresh embryo transfer and 7-8 weeks for frozen embryo transfer. Treatment typically starts on Day 2 of your period and includes about 10–14 days of medication, followed by your retrieval, fertilization, transfer and a short recovery.  Having said this, timing really depends on how well your body (ovaries) respond to the meds and how well the lead follicles grow.

Yes,  you’ll need a few key things to make sure your clinic in Korea can move forward smoothly:

  • Marriage certificate: The Korean clinics we work with currently ask married couples to provide proof of marriage before beginning IVF. If you do not already have a marriage certificate, contact your local government office early because processing times vary.

  • Your Passport: Bring it with you to every clinic appointment.

  • Any relevant medical records: Recent fertility bloodwork, ultrasound or uterine imaging, previous treatment records and a recent semen analysis, if applicable can help your Korean doctor understand your baseline faster.

Our story

We built Bloom after living this ourselves. Between IVF rounds, egg freezing, and flying to Seoul for care, we learned how hard it is to compare clinics, book fast, and feel held. Now we share our playbook across fertility, full-body checkups, and glow-up treatments, so you can tap Korea’s world-class care without the overwhelm. With Bloom, you’re not just getting appointments; you’re getting people who get it.
